Safety Features
The Dodge Durango was designed to make you feel secure and
confident behind the wheel.
That means trying to avoid accidents before they happen. But the unexpected can occur and when it does,
the Durango has multiple features to help keep you safe and secure for all passanger.
That means trying to avoid accidents before they happen. But the unexpected can occur and when it does,
the Durango has multiple features to help keep you safe and secure for all passanger.
BACK UP ASSISTANCE
Help avoid potential accidents by taking advantage of the available ParkSense® Rear Park Assist System+ and the available ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera+. ParkSense detects objects when your vehicle is moving in reverse at low speeds and audibly alerts you of the potential danger. ParkView uses your Uconnect® Touchscreen to display a wide-angle view of what's behind your vehicle when you shift into reverse
UCONNECT® EMERGENCY AND ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
Being stranded on the road can be really annoying. Fortunately, in the event you become stranded, we've equipped the Dodge Durango with available services to help resolve the situation. With available Uconnect® Access Roadside Assistance+, one push of the “ASSIST” button located in the mirror summons the Dodge roadside assistance provider to help you with gas, a tire change, a battery jumpstart or towing to the nearest Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge or Ram vehicle dealer. In an emergency situation, Uconnect Access+ Emergency Assistance connects you directly to the police, the fire department or the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) dispatcher when you push the 9-1-1 button+.
BLIND SPOT MONITORING
Available Blind Spot Monitoring+ helps keep you aware of vehicles outside your peripheral vision, assisting you in making lane changes. Strategically placed sensors warn you with a visual indicator in the corresponding exterior mirror of potential hazards that enter your blind spot zone.
ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL
You’re driving on a wet or icy road, and you feel confident because Electronic Stability Control+ (ESC) is monitoring your steering input and vehicle motion to help ensure your vehicle stays put. During extreme steering maneuvers, if ESC detects a difference between your steering input and the vehicle's movement, it applies the brakes and reduces engine throttle (if necessary) to help you maintain directional control.
